* PINS-C - a
study question that is contained within the C63® committee. It is used to investigate what might be
done on a new standards project or to amend an existing standard. Once it is clear that the work should
progress, a PINS is developed that, if approved by C63® Main
Committee, places the investigation into the program of work of C63®
and announces it to ANSI for participation by others. It is then assigned to a working group
in a subcommittee for further action.
If no action is indicated, the PINS-C is withdrawn.
